Descripción : Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate Period, 21st to 25th Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 664 BCE. Faience ushabti figure presenting in mummiform with fused legs and arms held atop the chest, all covered in soft layers of blue-green glaze. The stylized head bears ovoid eyes and tapered cheeks, and the lappets of the tripartite wig drape down atop each shoulder. A column of black-painted hieroglyphs is visible atop the legs. The figure is mounted within a modern display frame.
