Description : Pre-Columbian, Valley of Mexico, Teotihuacan culture, ca. 3rd to 7th century CE. An intriguing standing anthropomorphic figure carved from mottled dark-green stone with beige inclusions. The figure stands atop attenuated feet covered by an ankle-length skirt, wears a tunic atop the chest, and has a plateaued ridge delineating the upper body from the lower. The head is characteristically stylized with recessed ovoid eyes, a broad nose, full lips which are slightly ajar, and tab-shaped ears, all beneath a wide headband accentuated with an incised X-form register. Custom wooden display stand included. Size: 2.125 W x 4.4 H (5.4 cm x 11.2 cm), 5.2 H (13.2 cm) on included custom stand.
