Arnold Meijer Collection, Mainz, 2006, no.3.55, for a similar priestly head. 1.8 kg total, 20cm including stand (8). From an important London collection, acquired from J.J. Klejman of Madison Avenue, New York, USA, in the 1960s, this lot has been checked against the Interpol Database of stolen works of art and is accompanied by AIAD certificate number no.10115-167434.
