Born: 1980 Gaza Province, Mozambique He Is Skilled Mainly In Printmaking (Colour Reduction Print) Batik And Textile Printing. Mabote Also Enjoys Painting, Sculpture, And Bookbinding. He Learned From Observing The Textile Workers And Designers, As Well As The Wood Carvers Of Mozambique. He Was Influenced By The Late Samuel Natamgwe Mbingilo, A Woodcut Artist Trained At The John Muafangejo Centre In Namibia. Mabote Produces Images That Reflect His Childhood Memories - People At Work, Leisure, And Prayer. He Illustrates Traditional Folk Tales And Family Stories Told To Him By His Garndparents. Mabote Has Made Two Visits To The U.S.A. Where He Has Exhibited In Various Galleries.
