Note : Brown’s work reflects the complex mix of societal influences he was subjected to growing up. Mounted on the piece are several depictions of a ‘gung-ho’ militarised society, a religious figure, which suggests the social 'blessing' of this type of society, and a skull suggesting the inevitable outcome.
