Condition_report : The canvas appears original and unlined. The work is stretched and framed. Please note, the work is slightly loose in its frame and would benefit from being re-framed. There appear to be light removable accretions in places on the surface of the work, only visible on very close inspection. There is a light vertical line running through the length of the canvas (on the left-hand side), where the work rests on its stretcher, visible on very close inspection. Inspection under UV light reveals areas of possible minor retouching, for example, along the left-hand framing edge, in front of the sitter's face and a handful of other areas. The above excepting, the work is in good condition.
