Note : The present lot was produced as part of a series inspired by a commission the artist received by Craig Jamieson, then captain of The Sharks, the Kwa-Zulu Natal rugby team. The artwork was created to commemorate the team's victory in the Currie Cup Final in 1990. Findlay continued painting smaller works such as the present lot that eventually led to a larger artwork titled Trophies now housed at the Wits Art Museum.
