Descrizione : An Egyptian terracotta amulet mold for a plaque depicting the god Hapi, Late New Kingdom to Late Period, c. 1200 - 332 BC, the god who represented the annual flooding of the Nile is depicted wearing a lotus plant on his head, extending his hand to an amphora from which water pours, a plant representing Upper and Lower Egypt below. A nice mold for a rectangular plaque or element of a larger construction. L: 2 in (5.1cm). Mineral and Earthen deposits throughout. Ex-Southern California private collection.
