Descrizione : Alabaster vase. Ancient Egypt, 1st-3rd Dynasty, 3000-1686 BC Provenance: Old French collection. Former collection of Mr. Alain Fouquet Abrial, Chabreville castle, Courgeac, France. A lover of Ancient Egypt, he studied at the Ècole du Louvre, a student of Christiane Desroches-Noblecourt. He sought sponsorship for the restoration of Egyptian monuments. He spent much of his life in Egypt and died in Cairo. He has been collecting Egyptian antiquities since the 1960s.
