Lot includes two Near Eastern bronze coil bracelets with some blue patina, Hs: 1 ¾ in (4.5cm) and 1 1/3 in (3.4cm), Ds: 2 ½ in (6.3cm), 12 Ban Chiang bronze bangles, c. 2nd Millennium BC, held on top of each other by patination and earthen deposits, H: 1 ½ in (3.8cm), D: 2 3/8 in (6.2cm), and two arm fragments, one of which grasping onto an item, Ls: 2 1/8 in (5.5cm). Coil Bracelets: Ex Eugene Babon collection, Ohio, Ban Chiang: Ex Los Angeles private collection, Arms: Ex property from the collection of Joseph Klein (1899-1987), New York City. Mr. Klein sought out and acquired these souvenirs as part of his vast collecting interests. Said to have collected in the manner of an 18th century connoisseur, his overall collection showcased his diverse array of artifacts acquired over a period of 45 years and included the art of ancient China, Egypt, Persia, Greece and Rome.
