Notes : Ruth Levy was born in Johannesburg and began her formal art training at the Johannesburg Technical College. She later moved to London, where she lived and worked for seven years. Upon returning to South Africa, she taught at several institutions including the Johannesburg Art School, the University of the Witwatersrand and the Braamfontein Study Centre, in addition to offering private instruction. Levy has exhibited her work both nationally and internationally and her works are held in private collections around the world.
