Notes : Accompanied by a signed letter of authenticity and rationale: "The artwork titled Portal forms part of a larger body of work, which draws its inspiration from images sourced from the Hubble and Kepler telescopes as well as Google sky. The body of work is a preoccupation with our vision and perception and focuses on that which the naked eye is unable to see easily. Images harnessed from telescopes revealing the macrocosm as well as images of the microcosm harnessed from the microscopic all form starting point for these artworks works (sic). In the artwork Portal an implosion and an explosion are simultaneously suggested. A transition from one dimension to the next or the notion that multiple dimensions exist simultaneously is of interest to me. Portal could be read as black hole or a tunnel of light explained by those who have encountered near death experiences. Portal was created with the intention of connecting to a place within the universe that represents unity, completeness and interconnectedness that may feel far away but is in fact within everything, everyone and is everywhere."
