Lindop, 'The Art of Gerard Sekoto', London, 1995, illustrated p.129.The present work is a portrait of Mary Dikeledi Sekoto who was married to Bernard, Gerard's brother. Her youthful beauty and feisty character is captured in this portrait, she and Gerard were close friends and remained in touch until Sekoto's death in 1993.We are grateful to Dr Babara Lindop for her assistance in the preparation of this catalogue entry.
