Condition_report : The work is stretched but unframed. The canvas is unlined and the work is not on its original stretcher. There is an area of excess original paint which is showing signs of cracking and some delamination on the reverse of the turn over to the centre of the left hand framing edge. There is some historic flaking to the top left hand corner of the work and some minor cracking of the paint surface. There are very minor areas of cracking and minor associated paint losses along the top framing edge of the work, all of which are historic. The paint film is quite brittle and has a tendency to crack. Evidence of water damage to the excess canvas on the reverse. There are rust stains on the reverse of the canvas where staples have been used when previously stretching."In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above.
