Literature : Nasceu em Matalana, Moçambique em 1936. Reside e trabalha em Moçambique. Em 1958 frequenta o Núcleo de Arte onde conhece o pinto Zé Júlio que o virá a apoiar. Primeira exposição individual, Lourenço Marques, 1959. I Festival de Arte de Matalana, Moçambique, 1968. Bolseiro da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian em cerâmica e gravura, 1971. Estreia a peça Os noivos, onde participa como bailarino, actor e interprete musical em 1972. Encarregado pelo Ministério da Educação e Cultura de criar a Galeria de Artesanato e depois o Museu Nacional de Arte de Moçambique. É nomeado director do Departamento de Artesanato de Maputo, 1980. Expõe individualmente e em colectivas em diversos países como URSS, RDA, Angola, Portugal, Índia, Cuba, Suécia, Noruega, Bulgária, Áustria e Reino Unido.

Premieres the play Os 1972. In charge by the Ministry of Education and Culture to create the Artisan Gallery and later the National Museum of Art of Mozambique. Appointed director of the Department of Handicrafts in Maputo, 1980. He exhibits individually and in groups in several countries such as the USSR, GDR, Angola, Portugal, India, Cuba, Sweden, Norway, Bulgaria, Austria and the United Kingdom.
