Description : Property from the Estate of David Rapkin Description: Two African Wood Figures and a Scoop, comprising a 20 in. carved wood male figure, probably Chamba, Nigeria (with old loss to right foot and large age crack running the length of the left side of the body), a 22 5/8 in. carved wood figure with straw cord (age cracks, surface dust) and a 15 1/2 in. wood scoop with carved design and inscription at bottom (some wear and chipping to surface). Provenance of Chamba figure: Exhibited African Art in Unlikely Places: The David Rapkin Collection, University of Nebraska, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, 2012. Measurements: Height: of standing figure, 20 in. x Width: 6 1/2 in. x Depth: 6 1/2 in. Condition: Overall good condition, general wear, see description.
