Description : Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, ca. 1550 to 1292 BCE. A necklace of delicate form and fabulous colors that is strung with dozens of petite stone and faience beads. Dyed in polychrome hues, the faience pendants take on a variety of forms including several scarabs, tubes, geometric forms, and abstract shapes while 5 modern gold-filled spherical spacer beads are interspersed throughout the composition. Another plaque bead features another Thutmose III cartouche while the verso depicts the Pharaoh standing before Osiris.
