Description : **First Time At Auction** Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A beautiful scarab amulet of a petite size that is hand-carved from emerald of sage green hues. The topside of the insectile amulet exhibits sinuous legs retracted beneath the folded wing carapace as well as a narrow triangular head with an incised clypeus just above the narrow suspension hole. The underside is unadorned, though this does not detract from the elegance of this amulet!
