Description : Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom, 18th Dynasty, reign of Tutankhamun, ca. 1333 to 1323 BCE. A beautiful faience offering cup that is covered with dark, sage green glaze and bears an enclosed cartouche for the famed boy-king Tutankhamun. The conical vessel features a flat base, gradually expanding walls, and a thick rim. Displayed on the body is a rectangular panel containing a column of hieroglyphic symbols next to a faint cartouche bearing the throne name of Tutankhamun, Nebkheperure.
