Description : Book Details: This lot consists of the collection of Near Eastern archaeology periodicals shown in the corresponding images. Among the titles in this lot are roughly 50 volumes of Palestine Exploration Fund: Quarterly Statement, with three volumes bound in cloth covered boards, with gilt lettering to covers and spines. These volumes range in date from roughly 1880-1932. Many of these volumes are illustrated with photo plates. Also present in this lot are Volumes I-V of Palmet, containing color photo illustrations, and roughly 15 volumes of the Journal of Cuneiform Studies. This collection of books is from the holdings of Archaeologia Books and Prints. Established in 1983, Archaeologia was known for providing scholarly books of quality on the archaeology of Ancient Egypt, the Near East, Greece & Rome, and the Pre-Columbian Americas.
