Consulter la cote et le prix de Blue Ushabti Of Aset-Reschti

Description : Quartzite glazed in light blue Egypt, Late Period, 30th Dynasty (380-342 BCE) Ushabti (funerary offering) for a women named Aset-reschti with onglaze inscription Dimensions: 11.3 x 4.3 x 2.3 cm(height x width x depth) Provenance: Private Collection Bruno Wertz Scientific research: Dr. Jan Moje, Free University of Berlin (see references below) The ushabti originates from ancient Egypt and dates to the Late Period, the 30 υ th Dynasty (380-342 BCE). The figure is formed like a mummy in light blue quartzite. The ushabti is wearing a long, three-part wig with swung and non-streaked rag endings, leaving the ears free. The face is only faintly visible because of the excessive glazing. The arms are crossed in front of the breast. The hands are protruding from the gown, holding crosiers and on the left the string of a little bag of seeds. A column with a dark blue onglaze inscription 'Osiris Aset-reschti' is located on the front side. The ushabti is in very well, age-appropriate condition. It is minimally timeworn, in the lower area broken and recently glued. The backside and some protruding pieces of the ceramic are abraded. The ushabti is installed on a modern Plexiglas plinth. The dimensions of the ushabti are 11.3 x 4.3 x 2.3 cm(height x width x depth).
