Details: Antique AFRICAN MARKA TRIBAL MASK with Hand Hammered Brass Iron Nails and Cotton Pigmented Tassels Antelope Horns Scarification Patterns
This lot features an antique Marka tribal mask made with wood, brass sheeting, iron nails, cotton tassels and pigment. This Marka mask displays many features common to Marka tribal masks, including downcast eyes, elongated facial features, and antelope horns. These masks were primarily used in circumcision and scarification rituals.
The measurements of the mask are approximately 16 x 6 x 5.5
