In the form of a lion protome emerging from acanthus, the feline with deep-set convex eyes beneath a furrowed brow, his mouth open exposing his fangs and tongue, his full mane with curving and overlapping locks that frame his face, his head surmounted by a square plinth, the acanthus with a tongue-shaped leaf in front and curving leaves in back, the lower portion in the form of a large naturalistic feline paw 303/4 in.
