Condition_report : The canvas has an old wax lining and the paint surface appears a little thin and flattened in places as a result.
There is minor rubbing to the framed edges and the edge of the original canvas is visible along the top and bottom edge.
There are faint stretcher marks visible.
Some spots of surface dirt and a slightly discoloured varnish layer.
UV light reveals large patches of retouching to both the left and right of the sky, some further smaller retouching to the centre of the sky and a small amount of scattered retouching elsewhere.
