Descripción : Fetility doll add to watchlistNamchi, Kamerun wood, brown patina, remains of paint, u-shaped legzone, a slender trunk, the hips wrapped up in glass bead strings, strong shoulders merging into free worked arms, surmounted by a small head with inset eyes, scarification marks on the cheeks, high-crested coiffure, min. dam., slight signs of abrasion, on base, dolls without adornment were used as toys. When beads, bells and coins were added, the doll became a kind of replacement baby for a woman, having difficulties in getting pregnant. The woman treats the figure like a newborn, she feeds it with gruel and carries it on her back.
