Descripción : Property from the Estate of David Rapkin Description: Group of 3 African Masks, comprising a 10 1/2 in. red and white painted wood Teke mask, probably Republic of the Congo, a 8 3/4 in. painted wood passport mask and a 8 1/4 in. ceramic mask, all wired for hanging. Provenance of the Teke mask: Exhibited African Art in Unlikely Places: The David Rapkin Collection, University of Nebraska, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, 2012. Measurements: Height: of Teke mask, 10 1/2 in. x Width: 8 1/2 in. x Depth: 1 3/4 in. Condition: Overall good condition, light wear to surfaces, wear to paint, Teke mask with old bug damage. Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging.
