Descripción : Egypt, Ptolemaic to Roman Period, ca. 332 BCE to 200 CE. A marvelous stone flask or ampulla hand-sculpted to present a flattened, discoid body and a petite tubular spout flanked by twin ribbon-form handles, all enveloped in natural striations in hues of ash and charcoal grays, almond, black, and caramel. Size: 4.2 W x 5.4 H (10.7 cm x 13.7 cm), 6 H (15.2 cm) on included custom stand. Provenance: ex-private Bishop Family Trust collection, the Trust of the late Bill Bishop, a noted antiquarian with shops in Scottsdale, Arizona and Allenspark, Colorado, USA, acquired before 2010 All items legal to buy/sell under U.S. Statute covering cultural patrimony Code 2600, CHAPTER 14, and are guaranteed to be as described or your money back.
