Descripción : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A mold-formed faience pendant that has been covered with lustrous cobalt blue glaze. The front of the pendant shows a pair of royal uraeus cobras reared in opposite directions, each with a sun disc above its head, and above the serpents is a radiating sun. The top of the artifact bears an integral suspension loop, and the verso is unadorned. An attractive pendant from ancient Egypt!
