Descripción : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 27th to 29th Dynasty, ca. 525 to 380 BCE. A gorgeous faience amulet depicting the goddess Isis seated on a throne while nursing her infant son Horus. Isis, the goddess of magic and healing, holds her right hand up to her left breast to suckle her child. She also wears an ankle-length skirt, a striated wig with a frontal uraeus cobra, and a Hathoric crown with a pair of bull horns, a sun disc, and 10 additional uraei above. Above the dorsal pillar is a narrow suspension perforation, and a hieroglyphic inscription down the pillar reads, Words said by Isis, mother of the God. Size: 0.65 W x 2.7 H (1.7 cm x 6.9 cm) Cf.
