Descripción : Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A stunning ensemble of hundreds of Egyptian faience beads boasting an impressive array of hues from burgundy to almond to cyan and strung with modern teardrop-shaped brass beads on a modern strand to be wearable. Featuring cylindrical and discoid forms, the beads are arranged into a multi-tiered necklace with 3 rows of discoid beads. The 2 outermost rows are separated by modern brass beads and the 2 innermost by rows of alternating cylindrical and discoid beads. The 2 innermost rows then combine into singular strands at each end with the finials capped by a modern hook and suspension loop. A lovely wearable piece from the ancient world!
