Descripción : This is a group of antique ceremonial artifacts from the West African Leopard Society. the pieces include a sword with sheath, carved wooden club, and bronze claw necklace. The Leopard Society, leopard men, or Anyone was a secret society that operated in West Africa approximately between 1890 and 1935. It was believed that members of the society could transform into leopards through the use of witchcraft. The total length of the sword including the sheath is 29 1/2. The blade length is 23. The necklace length is 16. The club is 24 x 7 1/4.
