The cylindrical handle is surmounted by a head of Hathor, wearing the typical curved wig and aegis, flanked by two uraei, with an altar decorated with a frieze of uraei atop her head, 14cm high, (16.5cm high inc. base) Provenance: Gustave Mustaki, Alexandria, Egypt, exported from Egypt to the UK under licence c.1950, Elsa MacLellan, Portsmouth, UK, thence by descent from the above, Private collection, London, UK, thence by descent from the above, Private collection Rome.
