Descripción : MID-DYNASTY XVIII/EARLY DYNASTY XIX, CIRCA 1450 B.C. Wearing elaborate long black painted wig, comprising bunches of hair, plaited into ringlets at each end, which cascade over her shoulders, held in place by a fillet which is tied at the back with a double lotus flower falling down as three ringlets, she wears a red painted collar and rosette on her right breast, the back column with traces of hieroglyphs reads as follows: "A-boon-which-the-king-gives that... Mistress of Heaven might give...", trace of a hand holding her under her right shoulder, mounted 7.1/8 in. (18 cm.) high PROVENANCE Kalebdjian Collection (cat. no. 52).
