Descripción : Ancient Egypt, Third Intermediate Period to Late Dynastic Period, 21st to 31st Dynasty, ca. 1070 to 332 BCE. A fine collection of 12 mold-formed faience amulets from ancient Egypt. First is a striding amulet of the amalgam deity Tawaret (also Tauret, Thoueris). Next is an ambiguous striding deity, perhaps the ram-headed god Khnum. A faience head of the goddess Isis shows her donning her signature throne-shaped headdress. A miniature, blue-glazed, openwork bead exhibits a rectangular form. A serrated eye features light blue glaze and a black pupil. Finally, 7 ocular phylactic symbols known as wadjet (also wedjat or Eye of Horus) feature varying shades of blue glaze, some with incised details, and others with black or white pupils.
