Notes : "Every image that presents itself seems to have arisen from some mysterious sphere by some unspoken route. The glance of the viewer goes straight to the most striking visual elements, nestles there, and is at once transported. It would seem here that sight has been granted us that we may move out of ourselves, that we may wander through such a picture and find elusive truths. Each picture seems like a scene from some hidden story, yet one that the viewer at once feels that he knows.
