Notes : In landscape I've long since abandoned working in the field and this has freed me from the tyranny of the literal scene. I now often break a creative block by painting a sky because it pleases me and that starts a sense of atmosphere that leads me on. At times like this I have no idea what is going to emerge, and that's the thrill of it.
