Notes : Banele Khoza was the recipient of the prestigious Absa L’atelier Gerard Sekoto Award in 2017, which earned him a residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris that same year. Shortly thereafter, he presented a solo exhibition titled, LGBTQI+: Banele Khoza as part of the Curatorial Lab at Zeitz MOCAA in Cape Town. This exhibition was supported by Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Earlier museum exhibitions include his solo show Temporary Feelings at the Pretoria Art Museum in 2016. In 2019 he was selected as one of Mail & Guardian’s 200 Young South Africans.
