Notes : COLLECTOR'S NOTE Ablade Glover’s auction record is currently set at $35 089 for People, sold in October 2019, in London.• Glover has received several national and international awards, including the Order of the Volta; an order of merit from the Republic of Ghana awarded to people for their outstanding service to the country in 2007. • In 2010 he was awarded the Millennium Excellence Award by the Millennium Excellence Foundation, an organization committed to highlight individuals who selflessly bring about change in Ghana. • The artist received the Flagstar Award (the highest award for Arts in Ghana) from the Arts Critics and Reviewers Association of Ghana (ACRAG) in 1998 and was further honored with the Alumni Award from the African American Institute in New York. • Glover's artistic achievements are acknowledged through his permanent membership of the prestigious Royal Society of Arts in London. His work is also included in esteemed reference publications including the Artists' Who's Who, the Dictionary of Contemporary International Artists, and the Bénézit Dictionary of Artists.• Beyond his artistic contributions, Glover founded the Accra-based Artists Alliance and the GLO Art Gallery. COLLECTIONS: The artist is represented in numerous local and international collections, notably, the Iris & B. Gerald Cantor Center for Visual Arts, Stanford University, California; World Bank, Washington D.
