Description : This is a wooden PUNU-LUMBO mask, the pieces are hand carved, and originate from Gabon of Central Africa. The pieces are colored in white pigments, possibly through the use of kaolinite, and have elongated facial features, linear patterns decorate the masks. The large mask measures approx 11.25 inches H and 7.75 inches W. The masks show signs of wear due to the pieces age and use. In other countries, in the regions they live, they are one of the most significant and influential ethnic groups.
