Description : A wonderful and vibrant Egyptian ushabti, 3rd Intermediate Period, 21st Dynasty, c. 1075 - 945 BC, mummiform, wearing tripartite headdress, arms folded at chest and holding hoes, a basket ant small pot on a rope at back, vertical column of hieroglyphic text down from of legs. A fantastic example with brilliant blue glaze and details in deep black. H: 4 3/8 in (11.2 cm). Antique wood base. Ex collection of Anne Spivak, an important figure in the Detroit art scene between the 1960's-1990's, Ex Charles Dikran Kelekian, New York.
