Description : Third Intermediate Period, Dynasty XXI-XXV, 1070-664 B.C. Including a multiple wadjet -eye of turquoise blue, green and black glaze, the back an identical but flat version of the convex depictions on the front, consisting of a composition of four sacred eyes, two above and two below, arranged back to back, serving to frame a central horizontal band which is pierced for suspension and depicts two papyrus umbels flanking a central rosette; and a faience menat, the deep green counter weight with a suspension loop at the top, inscribed with a single column of hieroglyphic text on one side, "The good god, lord of the two lands, lord of action, [beloved] of Bastet, mistress of Bubastis" 21/2 in.
