Description : Ptah, holding a scepter and wearing a close-fitting cloak, broad collar, and smooth cap, the back-pillar pierced for suspension, and a Roman bronze figure of a mouse, holding a nut in his forepaws, the head turned to its left. (3 and 5.4 cm.) Provenance: given by Jacob Hirsch to the present owner's father, Frank L. Weil of Weil, Gotshal & Manges in 1932 and 1938 respectively. A card from Dr. Hirsch accompanies the Ptah.
