Description : Five tribal weapons: arrow with fine hand-forged iron tip, 32-3/4 in., separations, spear with wooden shaft, fine hand-wrought 13 in. iron point (sight), leather-wrapped end, 52 in., staff with wire-wrapped wooden shaft, attached label East African Chieftain's Staff, 44-1/2 in., lacking cover to foot, possibly lacking wire wrap at top, bow, possibly rosewood, 74 in., lacking string, spear with fine hand-wrought point and metal tip at other end, carved wood wrapped with wire, 62 in., break in handle under wrapping, later attribution to Japan, all probably African, late 19th/early 20th century, (metal edges sharp, be careful). Property of the Hickory Museum of Art, Hickory, North Carolina.
