Description : [ Tribal Art ] A collection of Ethnographic spoons and combs Including a Central African spoon with deep oval bowl, the pierced handle scorched and incised with concentric motifs, the reverse inscribed, June 15th 1892, from Central Africa, 31cm., another similar spoon, the pierced double column handle, finely carved in relief with zig-zag ornament, 33.5cm. a Rotsi spoon, with small oval bowl, the long slender handle carved in relief on one side, with a chevron protrusion, 42cm., a Kamba spoon, the handle carved with four human faces, two with inlaid aluminium pupils, the finial in a form of a bird, 40cm., an Ifugao spoon, the handle carved in two socketed parts, 20cm., two double-sided Indonesian combs with pierced handles, 23cm. and 13cm. and a large wood comb , the handle in the form of an arch, surmounted by three columns, the rectangular finial with six circular projections, all with finely incised decoration, 39cm.
