Lythgoe's report on Cemetery 7000 at Naga-ed-Der has been delayed for some 60 years through a series of unforeseen and unfortunate circumstances, and the present volume is certainly not what Lythgoe himself would have produced had he been able to publish it within a reasonable time after the excavation of the cemetery . . . The binding is solid. The signature of a former owner appears in the upper right corner of the front flyleaf. The pages are clean and without markings. This work is copiously illustrated with photographic and drawn textual figures depicting the cemetery excavation, including both artifacts and human remains. A loose fold-out plan is included. The volume is housed in its original printed dust jacket with wear/tattering at the edges, including tape repairs and moisture markings on the front cover.
