CATALOGUE NOTE
In a letter, now lost, to Lieutenant-Colonel de Grey dated December 30th, 1920, Professor Sidney Smith, then Assistant Curator of Egyptian and Assyrian Antiquities at the British Museum, notes that this large tablet of accounts comes from Drehem and contains receipts for cattle, goats, sheep, and other goods. It is dated in the 4th year of Amar-sin, King of Ur, the year in which the High Priest of Heaven, the Priest of the Moon God was exalted.
