Apart from Cape Town, Port Elizabeth & Durban, there are a number of photos of Kimberley, Witwatersrand, De Kaap & Barberton mining activities. Title-page, pp. 4 (text) + 104 photos tipped onto stiff boards, with captions. Original black leather, gilt front & back covers, loose edge-wear - spine missing, some chipping to text page edges, some marks on a few of the photos. A very good example of this scarce work in need of some restoration, Condition - Good, Port Elizabeth, Privately published, 1888
