Description : Small Carved Hardwood Figure, this sculpture is carved from a very dense wood (African lead wood?). It is not signed, the ghost of a label is on the bottom. This piece is from an estate that included other fine pieces of art from the African Continent.The artist made interesting use of the grain showing the face in the lighter colored sap wood, very well done. The figurine is in very good condition, it does show some drill marks which appear to be original to the artist. The piece measures 3 1/2 W x 2 D x 9 1/2 H.
