Description : [ Egyptian Antiquities ] . Roman Period, 1st - 2nd Century AD. A rectangular cartonnage panel with nice, bright colors. Depicts a scene showing the deceased, mummiform, to the right. Before the deceased stands to figures, one holding to vessels in an offering position and another holding an ankh-sceptre. Between the figures and the deceased is a small oryx of gazelle. A row of wings adorns the upper part of the panel. Colors include golden yellow, red, blue, green, gold, and black. 8.5in x 6in. An attractive piece!
