Description : Up for bid is one 50 million year old North African Otodus obliquus fossil sharks teeth in matrix. Otodus obliquus is a extinct Mackerel Shark that lived approximately 55 million years ago. Beautifully colored teeth from the phosphate pits in the Atlas Mountains, Morocco. These teeth are all hand-Beautifully mounted polished fossil ammonite (Cleoniceras) Fossil. The ammonites became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous Period, at roughly the same time as the dinosaurs disappeared. Nice addition to any natural science or fossil collection oas well as an interisting home decoration. Mounted on a terraced natural limestone base base.
